Attribute এর কাজ হলো HTML এলিমেন্ট সমূহকে বারতি কিছু তথ্য প্রদান করা। অ্যাট্রিবিউট সবসময় ওপেনিং ট্যাগে ব্যবহার করতে হয়।

এখানে Align Attribute  এর ব্যবহার দেখানো হয়েছে। Align Attribute এর কাজ হলো HTML এলিমেন্টের অবস্থান নির্নয় করা। অর্থাৎ ওয়েব পেইজের এলিমেন্ট গুলো ওয়েব পেইজের কোথায় অবস্থান করবে সেটা নির্ধারন করাই হলো HTML Align Attribute এর কাজ।

Empty tag (ফাঁকা ট্যাগ): যে সমস্ত ট্যাগের ওপেনিং বা শুরু ট্যাগ আছে কিন্তু ক্লোজিং বা শেষ ট্যাগ নেই তাকে ফাঁকা বা এম্পটি ট্যাগ বলে।  যেমন: <Br>, <Hr>।

<BR> ট্যাগ ব্যবহার করা হয় লাইন ব্রেক করার জন্য।

<HR> ট্যাগ ব্যবহার করা হয় হরাইজেন্টাল লাইন দেওয়ার জন্য।
